CPSC published a recall notice for Duraflame electric space heaters from Duraflame electric on March 5, 2014. CPSC identifies this hazard: The heater can overheat and cause the units to melt, catch fire and ignite nearby items, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers. The official remedy states: Customers should immediately turn off and unplug the electric space heater and contact Twin-Star for a full refund.
