Recall sources & data coverage
Different products fall under different agencies. Here is what each source contributes, when it was retrieved and where the coverage has limits.
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)
Classified consumer product recalls from the CPSC Recalls API, including home products, children and toys, clothing and accessories, and sports and outdoor equipment.
- Indexed notices
- 7,002
- Coverage status
- Snapshot available
- Last successful automated retrieval
- Records outside the supported classification rules are not included. This is not a guarantee of complete historical coverage.
- My home, model pages, brand directories, statistics and the downloadable CSV currently use the CPSC catalog.
FDA
All classifiable announcements in FDA’s current recalls, market withdrawals and safety alerts index, across food, supplements, medicines, medical devices, cosmetics and animal products.
- Indexed notices
- 1,065
- Coverage status
- Snapshot available
- Last successful automated retrieval
- FDA’s announcement index is not its complete Enforcement Report database; not every FDA-monitored recall has a public announcement.
- Historical archive pages and separately published medical-device communications are not included. A source category is assigned only from FDA’s own product taxonomy.
- Announcements may be updated or terminated. Confirm current instructions and affected lots with FDA before acting.
USDA FSIS
All English-language recalls and public health alerts issued from January 1, 2024 onward in the official FSIS Recall API, including active and closed campaigns.
- Indexed notices
- 162
- Coverage status
- Snapshot available
- Last successful automated retrieval
- Campaigns issued before January 1, 2024 are outside this catalog. English and Spanish versions of the same announcement are not counted twice.
- When the FSIS API is unavailable, the official GovDelivery bulletin feed supplements the last successful API snapshot. The fallback feed contains only the latest 25 general FSIS bulletins.
- Archived notices remain searchable; current recall status and complete affected-product lists must be checked with FSIS.
NHTSA
Safety recall campaigns reported from January 1, 2024 onward in NHTSA’s official flat-file dataset. Covers vehicles, motorcycles, tires, equipment and child restraints; repeated vehicle/model rows are grouped by campaign number.
- Indexed notices
- 2,745
- Coverage status
- Snapshot available
- Last successful automated retrieval
- Campaign coverage does not determine whether an individual vehicle has an unrepaired recall. Check the VIN with NHTSA or the manufacturer.
- Campaigns reported before January 1, 2024 are outside this catalog even when affected vehicles are still in use.
U.S. Coast Guard
Selected recent recreational-boat and marine-equipment campaigns from the Coast Guard’s public recall listing.
- Indexed notices
- 25
- Coverage status
- Partial coverage
- Last successful automated retrieval
- No successful automated retrieval
- Automated access to the Coast Guard listing timed out during integration. Initial entries were verified against the indexed official listing on October 1, 2026; they are not a complete or live boat-recall feed.
- The listing may omit defect details. Confirm affected hull identification numbers, equipment and corrective action directly with the Coast Guard or manufacturer.
- The latest automatic fetch failed. Previously verified records are retained; they may not include the newest updates.
EPA
The Fabuloso unregistered-pesticide warning linked from EPA’s current consumer Pesticide Alerts page. The listing and linked document are rechecked during refresh.

- This is a product safety warning, not a recall campaign. It applies to unregistered products making pesticidal claims, not every Fabuloso cleaner.
- EPA does not expose a comprehensive consumer-recall feed here. Newly linked documents require review before their product details enter this catalog.
- The displayed date is the EPA listing’s update date; the linked warning does not specify its own publication day.
An empty result never confirms that a product is safe. Find your category and compare the identifiers with the responsible agency.
