Seahorse® and "Bradford & White" Outdoor Gas-Powered Water Heaters
CPSC published a recall notice for Seahorse® and "Bradford & White" Outdoor Gas-Powered Water Heaters from Gas-Fired Products Inc. on April 10, 2002. CPSC identifies this hazard: Over time, the heat exchanger could become blocked, creating a potential ventilation and cracking problem, posing a fire hazard, if nearby combustibles ignite. The official remedy states: Consumers should stop using the water heaters immediately and contact the recall hotline to receive a free repair kit.
