TTI Outdoor Power Equipment Recalls RYOBI Pressure Washers Due to Projectile Hazard; Risk of Serious Injury

CPSC published a recall notice for RYOBI Electric Pressure Washers from RYOBI Electric on August 28, 2025. CPSC identifies this hazard: The pressure washer's capacitor can overheat and burst, causing parts to be forcefully ejected, posing a risk of serious injury from impact to the user or bystanders. Why it was recalled

Incidents and injuries

TTI Outdoor Power Equipment has received 135 reports of capacitors overheating, including 41 reports of explosions, resulting in 32 injuries and/or fractures to the fingers, hands, face, and eyes.
