Joybird Recalls Dressers Due to Tip-Over and Entrapment Hazards

CPSC published a recall notice for Blythe dressers from Joybird on April 6, 2020. CPSC identifies this hazard: The recalled dressers are unstable if not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that may result in death or serious injuries to children. What to check on the product label

Compare the model on your label, then check any serial numbers, date codes, and exclusions in the notice. A model match alone does not confirm that your unit is included.

The CPSC data does not provide a discrete model-number list for this record. Compare the product description and identification details on the official notice.

Which products are included?

This recall involves Joybird's Blythe dressers. They are made of plywood with a painted white finish exterior and nine brown-colored, veneer-faced plywood drawers with round knobs that are finished with a low-gloss lacquer. The dressers measure about 66 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 37.5 inches high and weigh about 209 pounds. Stickers on the back of each recalled dresser state "Stitch Industries, Inc." the month and year of manufacture, and the words "TSCA Title VI Compliant."
