WASHINGTON, April 19, 2025 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert for pork carnitas products that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically pieces of metal. FSIS did not request a recall because this product is no longer available for sale in commerce.
Compare the exact product and every lot, model, serial range or date listed in the official notice. A similar name alone does not establish that your product is included.
