CPSC published a recall notice for Soleil portable fan heaters from Shanghai Limach Mfg. Co. Ltd. on July 25, 2013. CPSC identifies this hazard: The portable fans plastic housing can melt, deform and catch fire during use, posing a fire hazard. The official remedy states: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fan heaters and return them to Home Depot for a full refund.
