CPSC published a recall notice for KitchenAid® 5-cup and 7-cup food processors from KitchenAid® 5-cup and 7-cup on October 5, 2000. CPSC identifies this hazard: A cap on the blade unit can dislodge during use. When dislodged, the cap can get mixed in with food, presenting a choking hazard.
