2 notices where the recalled products are smoke alarms.
A yellow cap left on during the manufacturing process can cover one of the two smoke sensors and compromise the smoke alarm's ability to detect smoke, posing a risk of consumers not being alerted to a fire in their home.
The alarms could fail to alert consumers of a fire or a CO incident following a power outage.
Totals add up the figures the notices state, counting a reannounced or restated recall once. A notice that gives no number adds nothing.
Counted across all 2 notices on file as of October 31, 2026. Each line says how many notices it rests on.
Amazon (2), Menards (2), The Home Depot (2), and Walmart (1) are the stores named most often in the 2 notices that say where Fyrnetics products were sold. Both notices mention online sales.
The 2 notices that give a price range from $20 to $50. Half of them name a price of $25 or less.
By the 2 notices that give sale dates, half the products were on sale for 12 months or less; the longest for 17 months. Half the recalls came within 13 months of the first sale; the other half reached products that had been on sale longer.
Both notices list model numbers. They also name date codes or manufacture dates in 2. A matching model number is a reason to open the notice, not the last word.
Where the notices say the numbers are: “on a label on the back of the alarm” and “on the back of the alarm”.
China (2), in the 2 notices that name a manufacturing country.
