WASHINGTON, Aug. 17, 2026 – Indus Foods, LLC, doing business as Gangothri Foods, an Austin, Tex. firm, is recalling approximately 1,626 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) pickled goat and chicken products that were produced without the benefit of inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
Compare the exact product and every lot, model, serial range or date listed in the official notice. A similar name alone does not establish that your product is included.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ pantries or on restaurant and distributor shelves. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them, and restaurants and distributors are urged not to serve or sell them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
